Part 5: Metamorphosis

Taking cues from 2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke, 1968) “Near the perplexing finale a mysterious monolith, floating in space, turns on its side.” the Plan developed in the Part 4: Longing brief is turned on its side – quite literally- and re-programmed to be habitable as a Section.

One half of the section expresses the ideals of Mechanisation and Intelligence, whilst the other upholds the values of the Working Class and Management thereof. Both rotating on the axis suspended and wedged between two boulders which represent the two forces of Governance and Work Force.
