Part 2: Typological Miniatures

The works of Andrea Zittel, Alan Wexler, Marco Tirelli and Isabelle Bonte are examples of architectures which investigate the autonomy of architectural forms.

By isolating objects as studies in composition using an internal formal logic rather than a contextual logic, the items that they create challenge, and possibly deform, some of the most highly regarded influences on architectural design (use, scale and context in particular). In doing so, they develop new ways to derive form and they encourage the audience to ponder the origin of their creations.

The Typological Miniatures are manipulations of my Ground Breaking Forms, photographed and edited to suggest possible locations; varied scales- and uses.
